Sebastian LopezSebastian Lopez, Concha y Toro

As Viña Concha y Toro's International Wine Ambassador, Sebastián Lopez is as comfortable working with the winemakers in the vineyards of Chile, as he is introducing the latest Concha y Toro reserve collection to the US Market.

Whether presenting to chefs and restaurateurs at a fine wine dinner, hosting a consumer tasting at a local wine club, or teaching the next generation of sommeliers at a culinary school, Sebastián has been instrumental in establishing Chile as a premier wine producing country and Concha y Toro as one of the finest producers in the world today.

Sebastián is an advocate for Don Melchor, -the Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 - Ranked # 4 in Wine Spectator's "Top 100 At A Glance" - Amelia Chardonnay, the Terrunyo and Marques de Casa Concha, among other wines.

His career with Vinã Concha y Toro began in 1998 after receiving his Bachelors of Science, Summa Cum Laude, from Johnson & Wales University and attending the wine school graduate program at the Catholic University of Chile.

After assisting winemakers Enrique Tirado and Marcelo Papa out in the vineyards, Sebastián rose through the ranks to become the head of Tourism and Hospitality at Concha y Toro. As a natural spokesperson for the wines and Chile, Sebastián went on to become their International Wine Ambassador and spends much of his time in the US as a wine educator.

Sebastián has hosted events in virtually every state in America, and has been a guest lecturer at venues including The James Beard House, Aspen Food & Wine Festival and Epcot Food & Wine. He has appeared on TV and radio throughout Chile and the US.
